Courses to suit your needs
All of our environmental training has been developed to be delivered in-house. Some courses may be available at our Associated Training Centre.
All Courses are suitable for up to 12 delegates (unless otherwise stated).
Introductory courses, where indicated, can take place twice per day if required.
Environmental Auditing Training (2 - 2½ days)
Provides the background training in the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 and the legal frameworks before gaining some practical experience under the watchful eyes of the course tutors. It will enable company staff to undertake the Internal EMS Audit Programme required by the standards.

Environmental Awareness Training (up 2 per day)
Provides the background to global and local environmental issues and an overview of legislation before focussing on the company requirements such as the key elements of compliance with ISO 14001.

Aspects and Impacts Evaluation Training (1 day)
Companies must, under ISO 14001, identify and prioritise those aspects of the business which have an impact on the environment. This course provides the background to global and local environmental issues and an overview of legislation before focussing on the real issues for the company and structuring those through an environmental risk assessment.

Emergency Planning and Response Training (1 day)
Companies must, under ISO 14001, identify and prepare for emergency situations that could have an impact on the environment. The training is geared towards the needs of environmental planners or emergency response staff.

Greening Your Office Training (up to 2 per day)
This course will show you how to run an environmentally aware office. Significant savings can be made, up to £200 per year, per employee. The course is suitable for all staff.

Introduction to ISO 14001 (up to 2 per day)
Delegates consider the requirements of management standards and how to implement them. These courses are ideal for managers, supervisors and any other employee who is or will be involved in the development and implementation of the standards.

Implementation of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Training
Suitable for Directors and Managers, this course introduces the requirements of the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems. The course, may be the first of its kind to deal with both systems also starts delegates on the implemenation process.

Introduction to Environmental Legislation Training (up to 2 per day)
This introduction to environment legislation will focus on the key environmental acts and regulations which impact on UK businesses and present them in an easy to understand format. The course is aimed at Directors and Mangers with a desire to understand environmental law and its effects on their business.

Resource Efficiency Training (up to 2 per day)
This introductory course enables attendees to gain an understanding of the true cost of waste and how their actions at work effect the environment. They will learn how to save the company money by contributing to the company's efforts towards resource efficiency.

Pollution Prevention in Construction (1 day)
This course aims to provide delegates knowledge and practical experience to help reduce pollution cause by the Construction Industry. The course is particularly suited to site managers, directors, supervisors, engineers, quantity surveyors and health & safety managers.

Construction Site Waste Management Plan Training (½ day)
It is now a legal requirement that site waste management plans (SWMP) are produced for construction projects valued £300,000 and above. This course will give the delegates an understanding of the legislation and enable them to produce and manage SWMP's.
